First Data

The need

FirstData needed to integrate new features into its systems to support new marketing strategies for Mastercard, of which it was the licensee in Argentina. The goal was to enhance its travel assistance service through MasterAssist, optimize online loan management, and redefine how expenses were presented in statements by adding detailed data that was previously quite brief.

Technology used

  • Mainframe
  • -Java –
  • Cobol-
  • CICS Cobol
  • -Batch-
  • DB2-
  • VSAM

The solution

  • We integrated legacy systems with new functionalities and changes in order to expand and improve the MasterAssist, loans, loyalty program, campaigns and current accounts systems.

The benefit

Thanks to the new functionalities, we promptly addressed our customers’ needs and enhance our market position with a more competitive service offering.

Data was integrated to improve the medical assistance service information for Mastercard cards, and a new webpage was added to the Call Center platform to manage this information.

We also supported an incentive campaign for issuing loans through credit cards and unified the presentation of bonuses in statements.

The challenge of integrating the existing systems
Integration made it possible to adapt the systems to business changing needs without completely replacing the existing infrastructure, thus streamlining time and costs.
